Tired of air travel? Need something to keep your squirming kids occupied and happy on the plane and in the terminals? How about a kind of visual scavenger hunt? In the Olympics of "bored" games, this one is a medalist for sure! Not many games can lay claim to six different honors (National Parenting Publications Award, Dr. Toy Best Vacation Product, honors from the French branch of the Children's Miracle Network, and seals of approval from the Parents' Choice Foundation and the National Parenting Center--whew!). There are 500 cards in 5 different categories, each printed in English, French, and Spanish (great for learning languages!). Some cards are for use on the plane and some are for use on the ground; they each specify a particular thing to be spotted by the player. Once the object in question has been found, the card goes into a "sighted" pile for that player and another card is drawn from the deck. Whoever ends up with the most cards at the end of a specified time is the winner of that round. A child playing alone can keep trying for more and more objects within the same playing-time. Children can play rounds of five minutes or five hours, depending on their age and attention span. The game comes in a 2.5-by-2.5-by-3-inch box so it's easy to bring along.
